Catalogs

With Isogeo's comprehensive knowledge of your data assets, catalogs are a means of organizing this knowledge independently of data structuring in databases or files.

Tip

Direct access to the catalog administration interface.

Definition

Unlike keywords, which are descriptive elements, catalogs are logical views of the inventory.

Here are just a few of the features:

  • catalogs are visible only to APP users, and do not appear in OpenCatalogs, for example;
  • a card can belong to one or more catalogs (see diagram below);
  • the catalog is the sharing unit, whether to another platform workgroup, CSW or OpenCatalog;
  • a file that does not belong to any catalog is visible only to users with Administrator access level (see rights matrix) and cannot be shared.
