Sharing

Once the data has been inventoried, catalogued, documented or is in the process of being documented, it's time to distribute it. Whether on Isogeo, on an internal web catalog, on a public GIS portal, on business software, on a public website, etc., everything happens via the sharing administration interface. all via the share administration interface.

Tip

Direct access to the share administration interface.

Definition

Sharing is the configuration of data catalog distribution. It makes it possible to adjust what a workgroup chooses to show (this or that catalog), how (harvesting, website...) and to whom (recipients).

Logical relationships

  • a workgroup can create as many shares as it wishes;
  • a split can be of 2 different types:
    • intra-platform: to other isogeo workgroup(s) ;
    • applications: third-party applications that use the Isogeo API.
  • a share can be made towards :
    • none, one or more working groups ;
    • none, one or more applications.
  • a share can contain 0, one or more catalogs ;
  • a share can contain catalogs belonging to workgroups other than the one creating the share;
  • two shares can distribute the same catalogs to different applications.
