Fields filled in automatically¶
To make it easier for you to enter metadata, the scan automatically fills in and updates the following information:

In the Identification tab :
- the name of the file or table ;
- data storage location.

In the History tab :
- the date of the last scan that detected a change in the metadata record;
- the type and details of modifications made since the previous scan.

In the Geography tab :
- the number of geographical entities ;
- type of geometry ;
- coordinate system (name and EPSG code) ;
- the convex envelope.

In the Attributes tab :
- the name of each attribute ;
- the type of each object ;
- the alias or comment for each attribute ;
- the language of each attribute, entered according to that set in the workgroup (for scanned data only).

In the Advanced tab :
- type of resource (data, data set) ;
- data format.

In the Properties tab :
- the creation date of the metadata record ;

Excluding tabs :
- the date on which the metadata was last modified (bottom right) ;
- the catalog(s) indicated as being assigned to the scan output.
The following fields are filled in automatically in the ISO 19139 XML version of the file:
- encoding of metadata characters ;
- unique identifier ;
- the language of the metadata ;
- the contact point of the metadata sheet (that of the dashboard).
