Export data to spreadsheet

You canexport all or part of your metadata assets in spreadsheet format.

This meets various needs:

  • generation of a support file to facilitate internal contributions (metadata party, for example), the Excel file being filterable by definition;
  • monitoring the cataloguing project in order to have visibility of the level of data input;
  • internal transmission for off-line consultations in line with business practices;
  • save.

Use

This feature is available directly from the administrator platform, in the Inventory tab, via the Export to spreadsheet button.

Export spreadsheet

To export :

  1. Perform a search using the administrator platform's filter widget ;
  2. Click on the export button ;
  3. Fill in the file naming parameters ;
  4. Choose export format ;
  5. Export search.

Please do not close the module while data is being processed. Downloading will start automatically once the files are ready to be uploaded.

Note

You may get a timeout when trying to export more than 500 records. To remedy this, refine your search and restart the export.

Settings

Formats

When exporting, you can choose between two formats:

  • .csv, with the comma separator (,) ;
  • the .xlsx.

Customize file names

Prefix

It is possible to add a prefix to the beginning of the name, so that the name respects the following form: Prefix_Isogeo[_ConfigDate]

Date

The date can also be added. Three values are possible.

  • No date: nothing is added to the file name;
  • Date: Only the date is added, in the form YYYY-MM-DD;
  • Date and time: Date and time are added, in the form YYYY-MM-DD-HHmm.

By default, the date and time are added to the title.

Excel content

The excel is composed of four tabs, one for each type of data:

  • Vector
  • Shaver
  • Non-geographic tabular
  • Service
  • Resource

Each tab contains the information of interest associated with each type of resource.

The csv export consists of a zip containing four csv files, one for each type of data:

  • Vector
