Link data to download

To furtherenhance the user experience of your catalogs, for example, in response to business needs or as part of an Open Data initiative, you can enable data or documents to be downloaded directly from the metadata sheet.

You have several options:

  • host the data directly on Isogeo ;
  • indicate a direct link to the data hosted elsewhere ;
  • indicate a link to a download service.

Hosting data or documents on Isogeo

You can host raw data or documents on Isogeo, via the metadata entry interface.

Steps to follow :

  1. In the "Resources" tab , click on Add a link;
  2. Select "Raw data" and the Upload tab;
  3. Select the file or drag it from your computer.
Upload form

With the strong data/metadata link provided by automatic scanning and the availability of raw data, Isogeo closes the geographic data loop!

Remarks :

  • Storage is a resource and depends on your contract. By default, Isogeo offers you 100 MB ;
  • For bandwidth reasons, only files smaller than 10 MB can be uploaded;
  • For security reasons, scripts and executables are not allowed.

Info

In On-premises mode, data is stored directly in the API file system according to the following tree structure and nomenclature: Api.V10.Web/Storage/workgroup_{uid}/ressource_{uid}/data/{uid}.bin

If you also have online hosting, you can of course include links to the data and documents concerned.
