Document¶
By respecting the formalism imposed by the INSPIRE directive and the interoperability standards defined by ISO. This documentation phase comprises 3 operations:
-
Qualify: describe the data (title, summary, history, geography, general conditions of access and use, contacts, etc.). This operation is facilitated by 3 processes:
- the automatic recovery of a third of the fields required by the Inspire directive;
- Batch editing (several records can be entered at the same time) ;
- the geographic web services scan to easily associate data and services and add value to catalogs;
- import existing files in XML format.
-
Classify: assign themes and keywords using a customizable thesaurus. This essential step in the cataloguing process facilitates data retrieval.
-
Associate: link services to data (PDF map, interactive map, download link, website, etc.). This operation turns metadata into a veritable 'resource hub', giving your users easy access to data.

Keeping your assets up to date¶
In addition to documentation, one of the current difficulties lies in keeping metadata up to date. Isogeo has developed a unique technology to maintain this permanent link between data and metadata.
All data modifications are automatically reflected in the corresponding metadata records. All operations are identified and listed chronologically in the data history.
