View a metadata record¶
The data sheets (for data, datasets or services) are designed to meet the needs of specialists and non-specialists alike. They are INSPIRE-compliant and provide access to ISO 19139 XML files.
They also highlight the associated resources grouped into 3 major actions:
- View
- Download
- Access external resources.
Fields¶
The fields available depend on the type of data. For each data type, all fields fillable from the APP administration interface are available.

Export (XML, Print)¶
Download metadata in pdf format¶
A pdf containing the metadata can be generated and printed directly from OpenCatalog, by clicking on the print button.
This pdf contains all the metadata available at the time of printing.
Download in XML format¶
The metadata sheet can be downloaded in XML ISO 19139 format.
Service operation¶
Operating conditions are described in the Prerequisites section.
Viewing in OpenCatalog¶
Data that can be viewed can be filtered using the View action in the search module or the search criterion
directly in the URL.q=action:view
Visualization links are generated for all services meeting the operating conditions.
For Feature Services, semantic information about a geometry can be displayed in a pop-up window when the geometry is clicked.
Dynamic extraction in OpenCatalog¶
Extraction is also possible for all Feature Services that comply with the operating conditions.
Depending on the capabilities of the associated server, OpenCatalog generates an automated extraction form. The form then proposes extraction to all available formats and coordinate systems for the layer concerned.
