Isogeo plugin for QGIS¶

You've been dreaming of a data search engine for your GIS... Isogeo has done it!

Plugins/widgets are developed from the Isogeo API. They are designed to facilitate the discovery and use of catalogued data directly in your favorite GIS. It's the ideal solution for making the most of GIS data in-house.

The "search engine", presented as a plugin (on desktop solutions) or widget (Web solutions), enables you to find data, add it to your map and find out more about it (history, accuracy, distribution conditions, contact, etc.). This search engine is technically connected to the Isogeo platform catalogs. Thanks to Isogeo's indexing engine, you can access your data, your partners' data and open data (INSPIRE & Opendata) in just a few clicks, without leaving your work environment.

The various plugins and widgets share a common functional base:

• Search for data in the catalog, using the filters and sorting system;
• View the metadata sheet in a dedicated window ;
• View data coverage on map ;
• Display the data in your software (or application) using the resources entered in Isogeo ;
• Download data to your workstation, also using resources entered in Isogeo ;

The Isogeo plugin for QGIS is entirely designed and developed by Isogeo. It is the benchmark for other plugins / widgets in both functional and technical terms. Isogeo uses it as a laboratory for testing new functions and developing its API.

The participation of Lorient Agglomération and SMAVD as early adopters enabled the first version to be released, tested and validated internally.

Everyone is free to modify the source code, as long as the modifications are returned to the main repository and comply with the roadmap established exclusively by Isogeo.
