Description¶
The data portal is a third-party application on the Isogeo platform whose primary purpose is to provide a user-oriented interface for accessing and leveraging data: search, viewing, downloading, subscribing, commenting, rating, etc. It also aims to promote GIS through widgets, articles, and fully editable web pages.
This book is the portal administration guide. It is based on the demo portal, which is publicly accessible at:
Features¶
The data portal is developed by Isogeo and Pixup. It is typically deployed in a hosted configuration by Isogeo as part of a development service, accompanied by a maintenance plan that includes ongoing updates as new features are released (several versions per year). It is then subject to the Isogeo platform’s license terms.
