Applications¶
This widget allows you to showcase the various GIS applications implemented within your organization. You can create and edit articles about these applications and manage the order in which they are displayed.
Existing Applications¶
This menu displays a list of all documented applications. A search bar (by name) and a pagination system have been implemented. You can edit an application or delete one or more applications as needed.

Publishing an Application¶
To create an application, simply click " Edit an Application " in the access menu. To edit an existing application, simply select it from the previous menu.

An application's Edit menu therefore has four tabs.
Meta Tags¶
Meta tags help improve search engine optimization for public portals. Required fields are in bold.
- Title: The "title " field is the one that appears in the browser's title bar or tab.
- Keywords: Keywords must be separated by commas.
- Description: The " Description " field is the one that appears on search engine results pages.
Title & Image¶
This tab lets you manage the application name and icon.
- Icon: Insert an image using the portal's built-in file manager.
- Name: Application name (Example: Network Management)
- Category: The category under which the app will be grouped on the front end
Page Body¶
The page body allows you to write the content of the page presenting the application using the built-in WYSIWYG editor.
Publication¶
This tab lets you manage the app's publication.
- This page is a draft. : Otherwise, the application is published on the portal and accessible to authorized groups.
- Authorized Groups: Select the user groups authorized to view the application.
Manage the Order¶
This menu lets you change the order in which apps and app categories are displayed. In fact, all you have to do is select an app or category and drag and drop it before or after the others.
Note
Only published apps are displayed in this menu.

Category Management ¶
You can create multiple categories to organize apps in the Home screen widget and on the Apps page.
For each category, you can specify its name and the text and background colors that will appear on the widget and the Application page.

In this example, the apps are displayed by name. You can also choose to display the logo in the content editor.
