History¶

Developed in 2013 by Isogeo, the Isogeo Worker service began to be rolled out at the end of the same year and especially from early 2014.

Based on Safe Software's FME ETL, it can read a wide range of geographic data formats and extract most of the technical information you'd expect to see in a metadata sheet.

Since March 2021, le Scan has also been able to index non-geographic tabular data present in Oracle Spatial, PostGIS and SDE databases, as well as in file databases (FGDB, SQLite).

Architecture¶

When it was redesigned in 2020, a new architecture was put in place, no longer requiring the opening of a specific port for communication. A new interface and a dedicated API were also implemented.
