Configuration

To use Scan, you need to install a Windows service called Isogeo Worker on a virtual or physical machine in your organization that meets the requirements below.

Operating system

Although it is possible to install the Isogeo service on a user workstation, it is strongly recommended to use a server for reasons of performance, access and availability.

Supported Windows versions are (versions in bold are recommended) :

  • Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025;
  • Windows 10 and 11.

Windows user account

You need to create a Windows user account in your domain to :

  • to run FME Form,
  • install the Windows service and write to its installation directory (for automatic updates in particular),
  • access the network resources needed to read your GIS data.

The Isogeo user should preferably be a local administrator on the server.

Security constraints on the server

The Scan.exe binary must be authorized for execution on the server. It is located in the scripts subfolder of the service installation directory.

Any security solution (antivirus, EDR, behavioral protection, etc.) that may block the execution of applications must be configured to authorize this program.
