Resources page

The Resources page provides an inventory of all scanned resources.

This page consists of two tabs:

  • a Resources tab listing all scanned resources in a table according to filter criteria ;
  • an Advanced Settings tab for setting parameters and conditions for displaying the resource list.

Resources tab

When the page is loaded, the table shows all resources (data and services) whose scan has been successful at least once. This does not include data in error or data removed from the list. In fact, if a piece of data is no longer present in your estate, you can remove it from the list once its metadata record has been deleted from the catalog (see Identifying resources no longer detected in the estate to remove them from the catalog).

Remove data from the list

You can filter resources according to the following criteria (bold indicates criteria that can be searched according to multiple filter values):

  • Text search: filter on all resources in which the search string is found in the name. For example, type "plu" ; Search for a character string
  • Resource format (e.g. esrigdb, jp2, EMS etc.) ;
  • Last status returned by scan (unchanged, modified, structure modified, moved, new, ignored) ; Filter on one or more statuses
  • Entry points: select the entry points whose associated resources you wish to display;
  • Date of last scan or last metadata update: select the period corresponding to the date you are looking for.

You can also export the search as a CSV file using the corresponding button. This contains all the information displayed in the table.

Resource display conditions

The Resources tab displays all resources whose conditions respect the advanced parameters. Conditions are reset each time the Resources page is reloaded. You can therefore isolate resources according to the following display conditions:

  • Presence of the resource in the catalog
    • in the catalog
    • not in catalog
  • Presence of the resource in the last scans of its entry points
    • at least one of its entry points has moved up in the last scan
    • all its entry points are not included in the last scan
  • Inclusion/exclusion of the resource in its entry points
    • included in at least one entry point that has already scanned it
    • excluded at all entry points that have already scanned it
  • Resource origin
    • from a deleted entry point
    • from a single point of entry
    • from several entry points

Display rule

Resources meeting all 4 conditions are displayed. For each condition, resources meeting one or the other are displayed.

Displaying resource information

The Advanced Settings tab lets you choose which columns to display in the table. This choice is retained each time the Resources page is reopened.

  • Format: data format
  • Last update date: date the metadata was last updated by Scan (= date the resource was last detected as new or modified)
  • Last scan date: date of the last scan of the resource
  • Link to last query: link to the last query that scanned the resource
  • Last status: last status (unchanged, modified, modified structure, moved, new, ignored) as determined by the last scan of the resource
  • Entity difference: difference in the number of entities detected on data modified during the last scan
  • Entity difference (%): percentage of this difference in relation to the total number of entities detected in the previous scan
  • Difference in attributes: difference in the number of attributes detected on data whose structure was detected as modified during the last scan
  • Attributes added and deleted: columns displaying the number of attributes added and the number of attributes deleted on data whose structure has been modified
  • Link to card: link to card in catalog administration interface
  • Actions: button to remove resources from the list or manage exclusions of their entry points
