Introduction¶
Like all plugins and widgets developed from the Isogeo API, it aims to facilitate the discovery and use of catalogued data directly in the various GIS interfaces. It's the ideal solution for leveraging in-house GIS data and services in generated web applications.
It takes the form of a "search engine" integrated into the cartographic interface, enabling users to find data, add it to their map and find out more about it (history, accuracy, distribution conditions, contact, etc.). This search engine is technically connected to the Isogeo platform catalogs.
Thanks to Isogeo's indexing engine, you can access your data, your partners' data and open data (INSPIRE & Opendata) in just a few clicks, without leaving your work environment.
The various plugins and widgets share a common functional base, summarized below:
- Search for data in the catalog, using the filters and sorting system;
- View the metadata sheet in a dedicated window ;
- Visualize data coverage (or even its convex envelope) on the map ;
- Display data in the map interface via resources and services entered in Isogeo ;
Online examples¶
While the widget is often integrated into internal web applications, some examples are available for online consultation:
- the demo widget integrated into the Isogeo Portal https://carto.isogeo.net/widget_isogeo_webappbuilder_demo
- the ArxIT demo widget in a dedicated AppBuilder Web application: https://isogeo-demo1.arxit.com/
Video presentation¶
The application was presented during the May 10, 2017 webinar:
Features¶
The ESRI Isogeo Web AppBuilder widget has been developed in partnership with the company Arx iT, to whom Isogeo subcontracts development, maintenance and upgrade requests. It benefits from the experience gained by arx iT on Isogeo during the geomayenne project.
License¶
As this extension is dependent on the architectures in which it is deployed, it is considered as a specific development and therefore does not integrate the maintenance conditions of the Isogeo platform. Upgrades and developments are subject to costing.
