Add data to the map

Data and service metadata can be used to dynamically add one or more data layers to the map.

Data

Vector or raster metadata can provide an add option if at least one web service layer has been associated. Supported service formats:

  • Web Map Service (WMS)
  • Esri Feature Service(EFS)
  • Esri Map Service (EMS)

Consult the Isogeo online help about the automated service census and the service layer / catalogued data association.

If several services / layers are associated with the same data. The widget will suggest which layer to add (EMS, EFS or WMS) by indicating the service name, format and name of the layer concerned

Choosing the layer to add to the map

Note

Only one layer per metadata record can be added to the map. To select another layer, the first layer must first be removed from the map.

Geographical services

It is also possible to add all the layers of a service directly from the metadata sheet corresponding to the service. Supported formats:

  • Web Feature Service(WFS)
  • Web Map Service (WMS)
  • Esri Feature Service(EFS)
  • Esri Map Service (EMS)

Once data has been added, it can be removed from the Layers tab, or its details can be consulted again.
