Prerequisites¶
The Isogeo widget works with the ArcGIS Experience Builder web application generator.
Like any other widget, it is added to web applications when they are configured by the Esri Portal administrator. It is perfectly integrated into the application interface.
Once in place, it enables end-users to search for data via a free-form search, a number of technical filters (formats, associated resources), semantic filters (keywords, INSPIRE themes, working groups) and geographical filters (map filter), and sorting filters (name and date of data update).
It is then possible to add the data via the associated services (Esri Map, Esri Feature, Esri Tiled Map) and consult the metadata in a specific window.
Note
As the Widget is hosted by Isogeo, no installation on a web server is necessary for its operation. However, if the hosted Widget is not accessible on your Portal, local installation on your Portal's web server is possible.
Isogeo¶
- at least one Isogeo working group;
- at least one catalog containing at least one service metadata, shared with the Experience Builder application;
Software¶
- ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS 11.1
- Application generated with Experience Builder in Portal
- User named Esri Portal administrator or with Experience Builder application creation rights (required for Portal referencing)
- Map services published on ArcGIS Server and listed in Isogeo (private or public)
Warning
As backward compatibility is not guaranteed by Experience Builder, we have decided to make the Isogeo Widget compatible only with LTS versions of Portal for ArcGIS (odd-numbered versions such as 11.1). If you wish to install it on an intermediate version, funding will be required to make it compatible.
Network¶
- Access to https://widget-eb.isogeo.com/ for the account launching the Windows Portal service (or through the system proxy)
If access is not available, the Widget can be deployed directly on the Portal Web server (Apache, IIS).
Note
In On-premises mode, in order to reference the Experience Builder widget in Portal for ArcGIS, the root certificate used by the Isogeo solution must be approved by Isogeo (see official Esri documentation).
